Susan Otto-Bain: Murano Adventures and The Bead That Traveled to Venice

Canadian artist Susan Otto-Bain of Calido Art Glass (Vancouver, BC, and Lunenburg, NS), has had a lifelong passion for creating. In 2008 she discovered lampworking and has been immersed in learning and working with glass ever since. In this presentation, she invites us into that journey, sharing stories from her time in Murano and offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at how her prize-winning bead for the “Your Bead for Venice” competition came to life.
