SUMMARY:An Evening with - Terry Hale - Stretched Beads
DESCRIPTION:My “Stretched Bead” demo shows how to create a lovely\, marble-like bead while using a number of good exercises for torchworkers. I include how to use scrap bits\, choose great color combos\, and make a large round bead with good ends. Then the fun begins! We’ll change the shape of the bead\, as well as the surface decoration by using heat and gravity\, then a final bit of marvering to refine the shape. I share this bead in my beginner classes to demonstrate how glass moves and how to work with that movement. With my more advanced students\, I offer reminders of small techniques that may have been forgotten.
