Happy Beads!

ABOUT THE BEAD SWAP:

This swap has ended.

This is a fun way to build relationships in our group and see what fellow glass artists are up to. Each participant makes a specified number of beads that will be sent out to all the other participants. Our last challenge included 19 participants so each person made and received 18 beads.

The beads are made to specification outlined below and this time, they have a theme. You have a good amount of time to make your beads and will be required to package them and mail them in on a predetermined deadline which is also listed below. Each participant must cover their own shipping costs and there is a size restriction to help ensure the beads all fit into a small US Postal flat rate box.

This swap is in no way a competition as we have a variety of skill levels and all members are welcome to participate. It’s definitely something fun.

Once all the beads have been received, they are split up and repackaged to mail out to each participant. Receiving and opening your bead box is something special. The anticipation, the ooohhhs and ahhhhhs when you see the treasure trove of beads is something you might just get addicted to.

HOW TO ENTER: On Facebook we have created a BeadSwap#2 group. You will need to join that page and post a comment indicating you want to COMMIT to the swap. You must clearly state you want to be a participant as we will not include those who simply give thumbs up or like the page. An updated “participants list” of those who have committed will be in the comments on the page.

BEAD SPECIFICATIONS: each bead must be 1 inch or less in diameter. (Please take a photograph of your bead prior to shipping and email it to lindawardwhite@icloud.com)

THEME: happy thoughts, positivity, sunshine, kindness, (something to help us focus on getting our minds off the craziness happening in the world.) Beads can be all the same or all different as long as they are made to the size requirements.
