Ongoing Challenge #4
“Using Metal”
By Janie Jones
There is no end date for this challenge, there’s no pressure for posting something immediately and it’s never a competition. Feel free to participate in any Member Challenge at any time.
Show us on our Facebook page a photo of a bead you made by incorporating some form of metal – foil, leaf, wire (copper or silver), mesh, shavings – ANY kind of metal. Try with something you’ve not used before.
Post a picture (or more than one) on our Facebook page, in comments, under this Challenge. Give us any explanation you’d like to share. Show us the successes and the fails, (as demonstrated in the scorched edge of the largest piece of mesh), we can all appreciate both.
Years ago someone gave me some copper mesh … it has rested on a shelf since that time. I’ve never worked with any mesh before so I chose an abstract design of sorts. That way no one will know if a particular turn of glass was intentional or not!
Have fun with this, that’s the point.
