Ongoing Challenge No. 17
“Dots!”
Stacked, layered, offset; surface dots or encased dots; traditional or abstract – dots offer endless applications. Tiny or big, you pretty much can’t go wrong with dots. September’s Dragon theme is “Learn Something New”. You may feel there’s not much that’s new with dots, but maybe you could try “Something New” for you?
Normally, I stick with traditional designs but decided to try something abstract to work with this month’s Challenge – definitely something new for me.
There are several kinds of dots on this abstract bead. There are a few normal, smooth surface dots, as many as five layers of stacked dots and some dots that might be a little hard to see. I randomly placed tiny drops of white glue on the surface of this bead prior to etching it and if you look closely you might see them too.
Sooo, this month’s challenge is “Dots” – make any kind of dots you like, but I’m hoping you’ll try “Something New” for you, with dots. Members can share your images on our Members FaceBook page beneath this post of Challenge #17 “Dots”. And thank you for participating, there just might be another prize drawing for sharing your efforts!
If you would like to share your dot beads to the gallery, post them to the Challenge #17 thread on the Facebook Members Group page, or if you are a member who does not use Facebook, send them to Ideas@theglassdragons.com .
