Fall is coming, and with it the shows and selling opportunities this time of year brings! Tanya Layton showed us some of the things she has learned doing art and craft shows and selling in permanent spaces that carry her items.
We saw some of Tanya’s displays, which varied depending on where she was selling her items. For example, the setup for an outdoor space was distinctly different from the setup she uses for a permanent space inside a gallery. Tanya gave us some ideas to think about for our own displays, including ideas for fixtures that were homemade, repurposed and purchased.
Things to think about were also discussed, such as finding the ideal selling environment for ourselves depending on our likes and dislikes as well as what we were selling. Tanya also gave us the benefit of her experience for how to find venues in our own areas.
Thank you Tanya for sharing the valuable insights you have gained from your own experiences.
Visit Tanya’s website to see more of her work.
If you would like to show some appreciation for her generosity in sharing her skills with us, Tanya asks that you contribute in some way – beads or monetary – to the Beads of Courage program.
Dragon members have access to this recorded presentation, found on our Facebook Members Group.
