Ongoing Challenge No. 23 – “Dragonflies”

By Janie Jones

In some cultures, dragonflies are considered lucky. The Irish have tales of dragonflies in their folklore and they are thought of as a sign of good fortune too.
In keeping with the theme for March, “Luck of the Irish”, this month’s challenge: make a dragonfly bead. Plenty of interpretations are out there and it would be wonderful to view all variations from our group. I’ll be demonstrating mine at the monthly meeting.

Please share a photo of your interpretation of a dragonfly bead in comments under the post for Challenge #23 on our Members Facebook page. Wherever you are on your glass journey – beginner to expert – please share your efforts with us. It’s an easy way of participating. We all enjoy seeing everyone’s glass work.

And thank you for participating.
