Challenge #64
Camping & National Parks
by Lilli Berry
“Ah, the Great Outdoors…”. This month’s theme is Camping & National Parks. It’s a favorite summertime activity and a popular choice of family vacations, kid’s sleep away programs and Scouting activities.
Camping usually involves overnight stays, whether under the stars, sleeping in a portable shelter or in something more durable. Parks often offer many outdoor and educational activities besides the natural wonders to make the stay even more enjoyable.
What can we make that represents the theme for August?
- Tents and other shelters
- Equipment for hiking, sleeping, cooking and other activities
- The scenery and flora and fauna
- And of course, it’s not camping without S’mores, food on a stick, and a campfire!
