ABOUT THE BEAD SWAP:
This is a fun way to build relationships in our group and see what fellow glass artists make. This bead swap is open to members and non-members — all goblins and ghouls! This swap is in no way a competition as we have a variety of skill levels. Dare to scare — this is the perfect fun for anyone who thinks their beads are scary.
Each participant makes a specified number of beads that will be sent out to all the others. Our last challenge included 19 people so each person made and received 18 beads. This time we hope to encourage wider participation by having a few groups of 11. Each ghoul or goblin will make 10 beads, but may ask to be in more than one group if willing to make 20 beads by the deadline.
The beads are made to the specifications outlined below according to a theme. Once you commit, you will receive the shipping address. You have a good amount of time to make your beads and mail them in by the deadline listed. Each participant must cover his or her own shipping costs and there is a size restriction to help ensure the beads all fit into a small US Postal flat rate box.
The trick is once all the beads have been received, they will be sordid and sorted then mailed. When your box of treats arrives, it’s going to be more fun than a pumpkin full of candy — less calories too!
BEADSWAP #3 DETAILS
HOW TO ENTER: On Facebook we have created a BeadSwap #3 group. You will need to join that page and post a comment indicating you COMMIT to the swap. You must clearly state you want to be a participant as we will not include those who simply give thumbs up or like the page. An updated “participants list” of those who have committed will be in the comments on that page.
BEAD SPECIFICATIONS: each bead must be 1 inch or less in diameter.
THEME: Halloween! Create your favorite spooky, creepy or cute beads that you are proud to share. Beads can be all the same or all different as long as they are made to the size requirements.
NUMBER OF BEADS REQUIRED:Total number of beads to be made will be determined by the number of members who participate. We will know by September 5th! Check the Facebook page for updated information.

DEADLINE TO SHIP BEADS: October 5th
HOW TO PACKAGE EACH BEAD: attach a card with your name, email and or website to each bead. It is also recommended but not required to put each bead in a small plastic bag.
SHIPPING COSTS TO BE PAID BY PARTICIPANT – a check payable to Alice Henry or payment submitted to Alice Henry via paypal or Venmo in the amount of $9.50 is required, or you can print a prepaid shipping label for yourself.
