“Hidden Images”

moon and dragon bead

By Janie Jones

We all enjoy melting glass, many of us using a multitude of methods.  Most of the time we have a plan, a goal — at least an idea of the result we’d like to see at the end of our efforts, right?  Then again, there is that strange, once in an “every-now-and-then” time, where we see something else.  Hopefully, the initial goal was reached, but somewhere on the surface of that glass piece there appears to be something else … maybe not seen right away, maybe pointed out by someone else.  A ‘hidden image’ – and that’s what we’re doing this month.  Show us your hidden images – even if you have to squint to see them.  If you’re not sure others can see it, draw a circle around it and give an explanation.

My image is of a pendant bead with a Dichro dot on the front to represent the moon in a cloudy sky.  But the shard I placed on the back seems to resemble the skull-like mask worn by Nicholas Cage in the movie “Ghost Rider”!  If you haven’t seen the movie, trust me, it looks EXACTLY like that mask!  Oh wait …. is that maybe a Dragon I see on the front of the bead, flying in the night sky?

And on the back, is that a mask I see?
