Canes!

This month’s theme is: Canes – colorful rods such as twisties, lengths of pulled murrini, and hand mixed color rods for example.

Challenge: Feature cane as a primary design element, whether handmade or pre-made. Let the cane influence the form, composition, and flow of the piece rather than acting as a background detail.

Working with cane encourages planning and responsiveness at the same time. This month is about honoring the structure within the pattern while finding creative ways to let it shine.
