An Afternoon with
Janie Jones –
Fall Leaves
Tuesday, October 12, 2021
Janie has been making and teaching lampwork for years, and loves to share with the Dragons. For this demonstration, Janie will show us the easy and quick way she makes her Fall leaves. They are very colorful and every one is so unique. Each leaf is ready to just slide on a chain or cord and it’s good to go. Make a single leaf or a whole row of leaves – just have fun with it.
This leaf demo could also help you with this month’s Members Challenge #18. Find more of Janie’s tutorials for the Dragons on our YouTube channel.

Janie Jones gave us a little taste of fall in her presentation. She loves fall and the changing colors of the leaves, and that is reflected in her lampwork. In this tutorial, she showed us her way of bringing the color and beauty of the leaves to her studio.
Beginning with a simple spacer, Janie begins adding colors of glass that reflect the real fall leaves she sees on the trees in her area. She may also add a little surprise pop of some unexpected color to add interest and beauty to her glass leaf. Using basic tools, Janie turns the glass into a colorful leaf that is perfect for the fall season.
The video of her demo is on our Youtube channel.
Thank you Janie, for sharing your time and expertise with us!
