Carla Camasso is a Glass Artist and teacher living in Asheville, NC since 2013. Originally from Massachusetts, Carla received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Glass from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has been working with glass for over 15 years. Working primarily with borosilicate glass, Carla’s glasswork is greatly inspired by her love for nature, color, food, and travel. Her work is vibrant, playful, and whimsical. Throughout the years, Camasso has taught at various studios, including Asheville Glass Center, Snowfarm: New England Craft Program, John C. Campbell Folk School, and North Carolina Glass Center.
Carla will be showing how she makes components and uses them to make a glass flower using borosilicate glass.
