We have a few more tips that may be just what you need to make your lampwork experience a little easier!

For more workspace, especially in a small studio, add some hardibacker raised up on bricks. I store markers, etc. under for easy access, hot rods on top.

Great suggestion from Leslie Anne Knowles Bitgood

One of my favorite tools is this Helicopter Plane Tool. I use this tool for removing beads from mandrels with bead release on them. It has 2 slots where the different sized mandrels can fit, making it easy to remove the beads.  The Helicopter Plane Tool can be found on Amazon.

I found liquid graphite in a can online. I spray all of my little homemade or cheap tools (pushers, mashers, melon baller, dental picks, etc.) with it (twice) and let them dry over night, wipe them down with rubbing alcohol.

They don’t stick to my glass. I also sprayed a cooking tray with it and use it as a big marver and working space. I love the stuff!
