An Evening with – Carolyn Baum – Lifeforms 2025:
A Glass Journey from Idea to Bloom

We’re excited to welcome back glass artist Carolyn Baum, who will be sharing the story behind her stunning entry for Lifeforms 2025. Over the course of three years, Carolyn followed a single idea from spark to finished sculpture, creating incredibly realistic nasturtium flowers using little more than wire, a torch, and rods of glass.

In her presentation, she’ll walk us through her inspiration, her process, and the challenges of bringing botanical realism to life in the flame. It’s a wonderful chance to see how patience, curiosity, and technique come together in a long‑term creative project.
