Fundraiser sponsored by the ISGB!

The ISGB is proud to help our chapters by hosting a unified auction in support of your local chapter and their artists.

Items are now being accepted by each participating chapter!

The deadline to place an item in the auction is April 6th.

Some Details…

The ISGB is offering the use of their auction platform tool to the Chapters as a way of generating funds for their individual groups. The Glass Dragons are one of currently 7 Chapters participating.

We have elected to join this auction to support our artists, ourselves, our fellow chapters, and the ISGB. This is a chance for us to participate in a larger group effort and team up with our fellow chapters for the good of all of us. The more items we as individuals donate — the more exciting the auction will be to attend, and the greater the chance of money being raised for and by everyone.

Donations can be classes, beads, jewelry, sculpture, equipment, tools, glass, tutorials … basically anything glass related. By selling your items in this auction, you will have a larger audience than if we did this on our own. Everybody wins!

Where do the monies go?

Proceeds from this auction benefit each participating Chapter (that’s us!), and the ISGB (they get 25% of each sale) – they bought the software for the auction, pay credit card processing fees, and are organizing this shin-dig, so that is totally reasonable. All monies are collected by the ISGB organizers. Proceeds are dispersed to each Chapter’s treasurer after the auction ends. Our treasury committee (Alice & Sarah) will set a time to contact everyone regarding their auction items. You may choose to donate your item to the club or keep the proceeds of item sales for yourself. Either way you agree to cover the cost of shipping. You may wish to include the shipping in your item’s price. If you are donating the item to The Glass Dragons and the shipping is outside of the US, we will cover the difference in shipping costs, if you would like.

It’s up to you if you would like to participate. This event is free for all members of The Glass Dragons to enter. You do not need to be an ISGB member to participate.

Donation uploads are being accepted now until April 6, 2021.

Please be sure to prefix your donation name with our Chapter code – FGD. This is very important! As we mentioned above, all monies are collected by the ISGB organizer and are then dispersed to the each Chapter’s treasurer after the auction ends. If you don’t include FGD, they won’t find us, and we can’t pay you.

Shipping information:

The seller is responsible for shipping. So it is highly recommended to have the shipping price be part of the donation as your default.

Exceptions:

Because you don’t know if your donation will be shipped to someone internationally, please include the amount you would charge for shipping to someone outside the USA. If your donation needs to be shipped outside of North America you can submit your receipt to the FGD treasurer for reimbursement for the difference between what you allowed vs the actual cost.

A bit more:

Some auction items have already been added to the website if you want to see examples of the requirements.

Items should be priced at Fair Market Value – Automatically set at 40% for opening bidding. Note: this can be adjusted by contacting Karyn at operations@isgb.org
