Adding Bales to Your Fused Pieces:

Tip is from Susan McGarry’s video.

To add a bale to your fused glass pieces or lampwork cabochon:

  • Rough up a small area on the back of your piece using a rotary tool (such as a Dremel) where you plan to attach the bale.
  • Add E-6000 glue to the back of the bale.
  • Press the gluey bale to the roughened area on the glass.
  • Let it sit for 24 hours, then put it in your oven at 275ºF for 20 minutes.
  • Cool naturally to room temperature and it is ready to wear.

Organizing your workspace:

This tip is from Janie Jones!

A coffee mug holder is a handy space saving organizer for your work table. It holds the tools used most frequently.

Janie found this one for 50 cents at Goodwill. Heavy duty enough to be stable even when holding more weighty tools.
