Fusing Tips on Making Dots
Fusing to Make Small Round Dots and Large Round Cabochons:
This tip is from Susan McGarry’s Video.
To make small fused dots, place 2 small squares together and turn the top square slightly. Next, fuse using a Full Fuse Schedule.
Then you will have lots of dots to use in your projects. This is something you can do with scrap pieces when you have some extra room in your kiln and are doing a full fuse schedule.
To make “large” round circles (cabochons), take three (3) square pieces of 2 mm glass and cut off the corners.
Put the first disc down and layer the next disc turning it slightly. Add the 3rd disc and turn it slightly. Each piece is 8-sided, so when you put them together you basically have a 24-sided piece. Full fuse and you will have large circles.
